if u are looking for food while walking, pajo's fish and chips gets a lot of recommendations, there are 2 shops, one down the wharf, one @ garry point park. personally i think most of the fish and chips are basically similar, and not the cheapest, though of course eating them every once in a while is good. salmon and halibut are good! dave's fish and chips are good too, get take out.

there is an ice cream / frozen yogurt place near the wharf too... forgot the name. another good dessert place is called diplomat's bakery (i think) that has some really reasonably priced and good tasting cheesecakes and other baked stuff. i think was slice was $3 or something

the few dine-in places i've been to so far are mostly seafood related (duh.) they tend to be all at least middle range pricing, but depending on, the portions are usually pretty generous

1. sockeye city, i ate some platter for 2 and we could not finish it. the seafood was so fresh. i saw some pretty awesome crab towers i wanna try later. its spacious and dimly-lit, and the aura is good for big group parties if u really want.

2. charthouse, second floor, sorta more pricey but not TOO bad. i didn't really like it when i went but ppl have said its good, so maybe i went on a bad day. the view is good.

3. kisamos? is a greek place, small and packed, i went a few years ago but i remember it was not too shabby food-wise. service was on the slower side.

basically if u walk around u will find places to eat, the food is pretty fresh =)
