I'll go to Point Roberts to fill up gas from now on.

I only fill up when I see the price is lower on that day. On Jun 30 it's actually 113.0 which is pretty low these days.
I did fill up in Point Roberts once a while even months ago.
20 minutes a trip is not too much of a commute.

Of course I did the math.
One way = 20KM, so total of 40KM.
So assume gas required is $4.
Gas down there is around $0.30 difference. (9x.9 vs 12x.9 here - both supreme). It's almost 30% difference. Let's say I fill up 50L, I can save at least $15, minus my $4 gas to get there, still save around $10 each tank.

I'm taking lunch break to go there....and I don't need to fill up everyday...I guess once every 2 to 3 weeks. I don't mind the driving lor. I'd rather save that $10 for something else. I can also shop a bit grocery @ the supermarket too.

Never lie to custom. Just say that I go to fill up gas, and shop for grocery.

That's what I said! Just tell the truth to BOTH Cdn and US custom that I'm filling up gas and shop grocery.

Btw, ice cream/yogurt/cheese combined no more than $20 value (within 24 hours absence) is also tax free.

Even I don't smoke nor golf, just milk, egg, cheese alone are so much cheaper, besides gas. Of course, I can find my favourite DRYERS ice cream!!!
