    I think you are living in say 20 years ago (probably 30) that HK people could behave like that when they are 暴發戶. But still, they don't usually bitch out like that, more like spending crazy like $xxxx on lunch but can't finish 90% of the food. Anyway, definitely more 暴發戶 in mainland now and definitely more 無品 people around.

    Don't know about you. I go back to HK at least once a year. And it's funny that you keep referring the term "C9" and sounds like you really think "C9" are those 無知婦孺?

There are different levels of 無品, mistreating employee is one thing but bitching out is just no personal manners. And that happens more on mainlanders now. And of course, there are nice mainlanders too but since there are so many 暴發戶 and people in general lack of 公民教育 (not in terms of loyalty to the communist party) but education on 公德心 etc, there are way more examples of 無品 mainlanders you see on the street.

    Have you really studied in school in HK? 香港有九年免費教育。In public school there are 德育課，健康教育課 that talks about 公德心, general health topics. And those are all available in public school. Well, I'm not sure if those courses are available in the 60s 70s as I'm not in that generation

Even on TV, there are ad issued by the govt in the 80s. 清潔香港 ad...search on youtube and you will see those commercial. Those are part of 公民教育 as well.

    Of course education is the key, so I do hope that in future (maybe 30 years later), mainlanders 國民質數 will be greatly improved. After all, they are trying to catch up the 30 years of damage during the cultural revolution.

Lik is just pointing out the facts that there are mainlanders lack of manner i.e. bitching in this case. And unfortunately there could be larger number out there because of lack of education. I don't see how one post about bad sides of mainlanders is so called "discriminating" own race. After all, we know problem is there, just hope for improvement. In the end we are all Chinese, no matter there are how many bad apples out there.

    What's big deal here? As long as they are all "facts" and from creditable source. Some articles are from Mingpao news as well. Pointing out bad side might not necessary a bad thing. Not talking about it doesn't mean problem doesn't exist. Criticism is good as long as it's constructive criticism.
