i think pale colored  cherry blossoms are in  the prime this week

darker color flowers bloom a couple of weeks later in may

at  graveley and lillooet  , last week , as much as half of the flowers were still in buds
this week , petals begin to fall, 5 percent now,
if i go back next week, the ground will be all covered with petals

cloudy day is actually my favorite condition to visit this spot
in the last 3 or 4 years  , i always had to wipe a few rain drops off  my camera

and i always expect to see other people with cameras

you can see 3 people with cameras in the photos above
when i get there this time , i see 3 kids running around,
blossom time + play time = good time for photography

the street is sloped,  providing a good perspective for photos

i happened to be going  down south along cambie  tuesday evening,
looking out of the bus
i saw some beautiful white cherry blossoms in QE park
as i see, white blossoms are in the prme condition this week

  you can refer to the pdf  guide i posted earlier in this thread for the timing and location of
late blooming cherries
it turns out the guide stops at late april
but i suppose  due to the colder than usual weather this past winter

what is late april in the guide  is really  early may this season
and what is early april  is really about late april

in the guide  for early april , we have
QE Park West 37 Ave. and Alberta St.  Mikuruma-gaeshi cultivar

here is one  for late april,
Cambie St. at West 45 Ave., NW corner Ukon

in privious years , i saw  dark red flowers  blooming   late in may
but they may not be  cherries  , but blum blossoms
