高載客行車線（HOV）是為鼓勵2人以上共乘車輛而開設的行車線，但讓警員啼笑皆非的是，有司機為了能夠在路上暢通無阻，竟然在乘客座位上擺放假人，充當乘客，企圖瞞天過海，但終被識穿。
卑詩南岸運輸局警隊兩個警員周三在返回警局的路上，在1號公路（Hwy.1）東行方向發現一輛平治房車的乘客不對勁，於是在斯普洛特出口（Sprott exit）處截停該輛汽車，結果發現乘客座位上竟然是一個披上運動衫的假人。
該個來自阿波斯福的28歲男司機當場收到告票罰款109元。其中一個當值的警員希普利（Shipley）表示，在他3年的警察生涯中，這是首次碰到這類事情。
他說，現代人都很匆忙，但設立高載客行車線總是有原因，而濫用該專線的將會被罰款，因此安全駕駛非常重要。

I have seen a driver putting jacket on top if bulky stuff to make a fake passenger too, but the driver seemed very curious and kept looking around and touching the passenger "fake" person when he was driving. Luckily, no plice around at that time; otherwise, his suspicous behaviour would have caught polic's attention.
