Poor conditions have severly hit the Lower Mainland
Snow hasn't just taken its toll on the roads, thousands of homes are without power too

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The low temperatures have taken effect on the roads and electricity.
Just under 5,700 homes in the Lower Mainland are without power. For more details on the downed grids click here.
If you are headed out on the road this morning, Environment Canada has ended its overnight snowfall warning. However, a lot of snow has packed up on the roads this morning.
Proceed with caution in all parts of the lower mainland and on the surrounding islands as well. One commuter called News1130 and said that snow on some roads over there is almost a foot high.
Translink has also told News1130 that all buses, and SkyTrains are running this morning. Keep in mind though, the buses are driving just as cautiously as any other car or truck on the road.
A few buses, while running, are taking different routes this morning. To find out if your bus has changed its route click here.
They say give yourself lots of time to get to your destination, because transit may be a little slower due to the poor road conditions.
