i agree paddles/blades are much much over priced here.
try Vancouver table tennnis club on hasting, they sell some equitments,too. u can try cuting price as much as possible. i dont' know your budget?  also, pingpong.com is a good one too! their price is reasonable la.
i have an extra (carbon) blade and rubbers (several butterfly and 1 killerspin), i bought too many in the past, end up leaving them "useless". ... if u dont mind getting a used one, i may sell mine.
