NOTHING to do in Calgary .  beside over price food .  over price hotel .. and worst service in Canada ..

Anyway .. NORMALLY ..  only 8.5 hr from Vancouver to Calgary ..   ( 5 yr ago ) but the problem now is ..  lots and lots of construction on highway 5/1 and if u go on a weekend, lots of SUPER SLOW drivers in the golden/Rev areas ..  ( with big RV )

So ..  ~ 300km  time .. you can't even go more then 80km/hr ...  and with most area doing 110km;/hr ..   so .. to be safe, 10 hr !!!

But  WHY ?? WHY ?? WHY ???  unless you hv good close friends in Calgary .. otherwise ..  DON'T COME!!   

You better spend more time in Banff, Lake Louie, Ice Field, Jasper and Edmonton ..  


SKIP Calgary la..   waste gas ..  waste money ....

Actually, not much special in Edmonton as well ..  just when compare, slightly better then Calgary ..  ( less waiting time everywhere, less traffic, less expensive .. etc .. )  It is ok to visit the big mall, but other that BIG, nothing special.

If u come in July ..  then you can go for the Stampede .. if you love drinking ..

If u want .. I can suggest you some nice place for Steak ..   

Make sure DON'T go any chinese food ..  Brazilian grill is good too ... not sure if it is popular in Van as well ...   


There is some reason why I hv to go Vancouver every few month ..  LOL
