Yeah .. that $29 tripod is good value .. reasonable solid ..

I wont use it for body or lens .. but it is good for flash etc. ^_^

Sigh .. start wonder why some tripods are $1000 plus  ...

why some tripod are $1000 plus?  I know some comes with the remote but it is not that expensive... wonder what feature does that 1000 dollars have...

Main different .. MADE IN ITALY / MADE IN GERMANY !!  ( just like car )
Of course material too ..  Carbon Fibre Made in Italy tripod .. easy $800-1000 ..  then plus $300-500 for a good head ..  

However, for half the price, ( or 1/3 if u buy in HK/China ) those china brand, such as Benro ..  ~ $300-400, you can get a top grade carbon heavy duty tripod, ( look and feel the same as Git!  almost ) and for ~ $100-150, can get a top notch head as well, can handle 25-30lbs.  


But for general speaking, ~ $250 can get you a decent tripod+head kit. (ie manfrotto 190 )
