$300/month on gas is reasonable la..  ~ $3k and 25,000km/ yr is average for Canadian ..  

But I guess you should add the "running cost" on your car as expense, no matter lease payment or depreciation or servicing cost.

$300 a month to eat/drink .. that is good! You must cook a lots yourself .. good job! ^_^ Probably that $700 you pay to your parents, include eating home!

As other LYK said, once you have your own house, your expense will jump up a lots!!  Mortgage/untility/Air Cond/heat (opps .. you guys don't really need to pay heat wor) will cost you $3-4k/month extra......
However, by the time being, your husband will share the expense ..

Once you have kids ...  then your expense will run to the roof!!

My wife ..  "sort" of pay back her parents ... as they refuse to take money from her, so my wife pays some of their bills ..
