Volvo is now owned by Chinese company, not that they will make all their cars in China.    They will add new Chinese factories, but likely are all for their domestic use.  I doubt we will see any Chinesee Volvo in NA anytime soon.

Safety is the Volvo brand's selling point.  The new owner won't be that stupid to destroy the brand, which they pay a premium for.

Volvo will have factories in China, just like BMW and Mercedes now have factories in China. All these made in China are just as good as those made elsewhere. Some Honda made in China are better than those made in Japan.

Yes, it will make sense, Volvo will have thier factory in China soon ..  and it is true, VW, Audi, Benz, Honda, Toyota etc .. all have factories in China ( or TW etc ) however, they are not BETTER then those made in Japan/Germany .. (even u are big china fan)

Few of my friends in China, (not many) they bought Subaru now, even they love Honda/Toyota, since u can still buy made in Japan Subaru, but most Honda/Toyota are made in China ..  and they don't trust them at all, with not so good rating. (My friend is actually WORKING in TOYOTA CHINA, can get staff price, but she still won't get made in China Toyota)

It may be true, made in China BMW/Benz may not be worse then made in US one.

CP, what's the point of trying to teach moron Peter the truth? In his pov, everything China is grandest, ging-est, and perfect-est ga la~ US, Canada, Europe, Japan are all in huge debt and ready to bankrupt any second now. Only Big China has the ability to save them all ar mah~

质量同原厂做的天差地别啊朋友，大陆的车友有一个共同的潜规则就系那个车厂的国产化部件越多就系那个品牌的灾难，从以前的VW 到后来的 Citroen 再到现在的 Honda 一个个国产化都是对购车人士都是一个悲哀
