I do have friends who went back to HK after grad, work a few years then come back to Van for work. So it's not too uncommon. But of course, more ppl just go back to Hk to work and settle down...

過去幾年,我每年都會返溫哥華,因為家人在此.
對,這十年來溫哥華的確變了很多.
香港人台灣人已經少了很多,從大陸來的佔了大多數.
以前會說廣東話便可生存,現在要說國語.
以前沒有那麼多hi-rise,現在到處都是.
但我對溫哥華/多倫多的經濟情況就不太清楚,因小弟一年只逗留溫哥華兩星期.沒有太多時間去了解.
看起來在溫哥華的工作機會,主要是在勞工方面和圍繞樓房方面.
如果要白領工作,好像是仍然難找到.就算找到,也只是人工低廉.(有錯請指正)
請各位大力分享...

the job situation really depends on your field.

平淡生活 vs 多姿多釆

If you find a job here, the salary might be just slightly increased every year, while you might gain a lot from the stock market or housing market.

You have to invest time & effort to build up your career here, while you could jump from one job to the other with dramatic increase in status & salary in HK.

It depends on what kind of life you would like to have

在溫哥華就算單身一人，月入低過$2500 after tax 都會幾惡頂。
有數得計: 單房租金$800,  食物$1000,  汽油$200,  上網/電視/手機$100,  未計消閑娛樂衣服醫療，已經2K。
移民落地六個月至一年，要搵到$2500 after tax 的工作，在下覺得有一定難度，除非有特別人事關系。
