I will never accept 同化, but i will respect ppl from other countries / regions. Pehaps HK ppl are 低調, i think to this point, 低調 is our advantage.

By reviewing immigrant policies these years, Vancouver area is no doubt one of the good places the mainlanders want to settle down - i was told by one of my friends in MONTREAL - due to  bylaws of Education department in Quebec , ppl can benefit from studying language or college / university coures , so attracting many many mainlanders head to Montreal for the allowances and welfare - In Montreal you can see anytime many mainlanders who never work and never pay taxes but have been studying since they landed in Canada .

唔知對不對。
台灣人話自已講的是國語。(當他們不是講台語時)
大陸人稱自已講的是普通話。
廣州人稱自已講的是廣州話。
香港人話自已的是廣東話。

仲有, 大陸普通話唔單止超捲利, 仲講得超快, 我覺得除左似含住粒欖咁, 如過講得大聲, 就似講粗口, 講得細聲就好似鬼食泥咁添!
但台灣國語就真係好聽好多, 斯文好多順耳好多~

    其實基於台語（閩南）原因當台灣人講國語時就是有尾音軟化既出現所以好好聽。But 煲冬瓜 （PUTONGHUA)諧音系lup lup 雜雜唔同地區地方人講而又要按照統一官話既方針從而大大出現音變或者音調錯位等情況，總之，我都唔自己講緊乜。
