Well if fujitsu Chip using SPARC is considered as a "America design"
Then why All Godson chip which base on MIPS is not "America design"?
Your proudly Godson 3C using MIPS 64.
If it is totally original, why it need to license by MIPS?
Don't forget to mention Loongson had patent issue with MIPS tech.-
But I guess Peter will avoid answering these questions.

hahaha, the difference is that the Japanese bought the whole SPARC architectural design from the Americans. This shows the Japadogs don't know how to design themselves.
The Chinese CPU is compatible with MIPS. But the design is totally Chinese. The people at MIPS are not complaining at all.

Just like AMD and Intel, are different deigns, but are both compatible with the same x86 software.
