If you are thinking of buying diamond.. remember to read their GIA cert.. instead of looking at that diamond.. you can't really tell the difference but the cert will tell you all. For the 4C, other than the Color, i think the most important one is the cut...coz if the cut is not nice..not shine ne~

GIA cert doesn't rate H&A.  But a round diamond with good symmetry will display H&A.  It is more sales gimmick for me (as a man).

You could view the H&A easily with a special len.  My wife has one of those len, $10-20HKD.

haha so true my hubby researched and studied a lot before he bought me a diamond ring too XD He did show me once how to calculate the cutting and see if the cut is maximize or sth..but I totally forgot lu~ =P

因為係批發，所以冇CERT，不過佢係做呢行做咗十幾廿年架喇。。。咩CUT，咩COLOR ETC，佢做睇架。同埋，佢老公（UNCLE啦我叫），係專做鑲石。。。 我隻戒指係佢地幫我買石／整戒指。之後佢地送左隻鑽石戒指比我做嫁妝。。。由細睇到我大～ANYWAYS，叫AUNTIE搵石，一定平過你去鋪買。咁當然，如果你要SPECIFIC COLOR／SIZE／CUT。。。都要早D叫AUNTIE幫你GUP住，唔係話要有就有。

round brilliant is just a style of cutting, actually it is the most common cutting for round diamond.  on the gia, it will tell you the finish is excellent, good or....
as  小叻 said, you should look at the gia, which will tell you all the details.
if you buy it from wholesaler or retailer, you can choose to buy the one with gia or w/out gia.  the one w/out gia usually is cheaper.  but after you purchased, you can send back for certification, just few hundreds dollars, but take weeks.
if you know someone in the industry, the cheapest way to buy it is from the exhibition.
