    If I want my wife to stay home instead of working, if I want my child to play to learn Hockey and go on vacation every summer. Then it is not enough

All relative, no? $75K is surely no wonder number, but I thought BC's average total annual income per individual is only under $30K? And ~$67K for the whole household?

Teachers should make above average without a doubt. The number we're talking about here is 2.5 times the average + perks and benefits.

None of the things (annual vacation, Stay at home mom, playing hockey and pension) are extravagance for professional families earning professional incomes, or even on blue collar workers salary.

Canadians/Americans have been living like this for years.  2 incomes family is a only recent phenomenon.

Even then, with $4500 net, a Vancouver family is still living paycheck to paycheck. no hockey, or annual vacation.  Have you done math for $4500? for a family of 4?  If you want mom to go into workforce, do you know how much is child care for a month?
