理髮、乾洗費﹕人們不能明確申報這些項目﹐但T-4表格的申報人每年大約有150元的乾洗及理髮抵稅額。- 明報
Hair cuts, dry cleaning, clothes
These cannot be claimed specifically, but there is a general tax credit available to any one with a T-4. It provides about $150 savings each year to cover expenses such as dry cleaning and hair cuts. Filers do not need to itemize or list their expenses on their returns, but are instead eligible for the deduction if they file for it. - ctv.ca
anyone has any further information? which line should we report the $150?
Under Canadian income tax act, personal expense is not deductible.
Kingsway is referring Canada employment amount I believe which if you report income on line 101 or line 104, you are entitle to claim it.
Line 363 - Canada employment amount
Claim the lesser of:
$1,019; and
the total of the employment income you reported on line 101 and line 104 of your return.
i know personal expense is not deductible, but since mingpao & ctv also mentioned they can be claimed under general tax credit, i thought there is something i miss.
I think I saw that news before. They are only talking about special cases like you can claim dog food because you run a farm and that dog is a guide dog....etc
So I think the expanses for hair cut is for similar speical case.
have no fxxking idea wtf the haircut thing is referring to, MAYBE employment amount. while for the rest, it may sound unusual to many people but yes, they are possible.
