If 75k is the upper bracket then I don't think it's much at all.
But if the majority are making 75k, with the following applicable
- 3 months of summer holiday a year
- reading break, longer winter holidays, etc
- supreme job security
- collective bargaining power
- low pressure and OT (relative to an equivilently compensated job from a private company)
then that's absolutely crazy, especially because they are getting paid out of taxpayer's dime! If we look at how much a 75k teacher make in per hours terms, then it'll probably take someone who works 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year (minus vacations) well over 100k to match that kind of hourly rate.
how do you judge that someone else doesn't deserve to be paid well while you deserve to be?

Because my wage is judged & adjusted by the market, and also rated by my yearly performance.
Public Teacher's wage is not. Their wage is bargained by Union, using Strike, and ways that scarifying other people's right.
If their wage is rated by performance, and adjusted by market and their skill, then sure. but they are not.
