And from The Associated Press:
In Sikes' case, Toyota said it found he rapidly pressed the gas and brakes back and forth 250 times, the maximum amount of data that the car's self-diagnostic system can collect. That account appears to contradict Sikes' statement — backed by the California Highway Patrol — that he was frantically slamming the brakes, at one point lifting his buttocks off the seat.

回復 3# prelude318is

雖然近年對Toyota 無甚麽好感(款色方面)。在這事上面,美國傳煤和政界是"趁你病攞你命 "。
我跟 prelude318is 同一想法。

I know that Apple is planning on including a "black-box" device on all of their products soon to prevent people abusing the warranty.

The problem is there is no common standard on the black box: The news said only  Toyota can decode their own black box. It is just like RCMP's investigating the taser death at the airport. Can they be trusted?

US government owns a big part of GM now.. no wonder they wanted to force Toyota out of US market.
