in my personal point of view vista is just a ricer version of XP, regardless of its "Advanced Multi-tasking Ability" compared to xp, general users won't get the full advantage of the Vista at all. Especially for those who would only need to surf on net, these online multimedia packages do not need the Vista functions because those are just lightly loaded applications.  If you are into gaming I then I guess vista would be a better choice because the increasing demand of hardware performance.

Well I was thinking about Vista but after I have looked into their background details(and played around with it) I was reluctant to replace all of my XP OS into Vista. The lack of clarity and portability of this vista OS is truly annoying, if they are able to overcome this problem with in their next service pack then I will reconsidering it. Vista just makes some of the users feel stupid with all of their so called automatic features (I admit they are nice ideas but who gives a damn reading those dialog boxes  that pops up every so often when you are trying to do some testing?)  Not to mention Vista is not a friend to any legacy devices (especially in workplace)
