eVGA geForce 8600 GTS vs 8800 GTS

Hi, want to get your opinion. For $80 more, will you get a 8600 GTS (for $109.99) or 8800 GTS ($189.99)?  I am just a regular gamer but I would like to keep the computer for a while (at least 4-5 years) without upgrading.

I sold my 8600gts 256mb for my 8800gt 512mb now... I'm a happy guy
The differences between those 2 cards are just way too much to compare... 8800 all the way

haha, it's all about the money... but 8800 is for sure way better la... it's not that much of a price difference anyways

Which 8800GTS are you getting? If you are getting the 320MB or 640MB version, which is old version; you might as well pay a little more to get the 512MB 8800GT.

The new 512MB 8800GTS is even better than the 512MB 8800GT because they are both using the 45nm GPU.

I am very exciting about my 8800GT SSC w/ silent heatpipe!!

the one on sale is 8800 GTS 320MB... I  know the performance for 8800 GT 512MB is better but it is priced at $269 that is another $80 more than the GTS.  it's a bit too much for me to get the GT since the total will be $160 over my original budget... thanks for the tip though.

8800gt 512mb was on sale on boxing week for $209 + tax AR... I got mine before boxing day sale for $229 +tax AR...
