considering that all leica lenses are going up in value faster than many slow growth investments, anyone with 10K in an investment account could as well buy it instead.
i will probably buy it within a year or so, if i can figure out a safe place to store it
but before then i still want to get the 35mm lux II first

Well .. yes and no .. used leica lens .. then go up in price in general .. but we are still talking a $12K lens here ..
Same as handbag, $12K Birkin are going up in price too, and they worth more when you sell it .. but can't say people using Birkin is not rich.. $12K for a handbag is a lots of money(not even Alli), consider you can buy .. say 10 LV !! even LV doesn't have resell value at all, but general public will buy 10 LV instead...
