大家買車會在原廠安裝alarm同打臘嗎?

買左架新車, dealer叫我安埋個alarm 同做埋車身保護, 但聽講在外面做會平好多. 唯一唔好就係出左問題原廠唔會理. 咁我想請教大家有冇經驗可以分享下?

Depends on if it is factory alarm or after-market alarm, if it's factory, then it would integrate with the car, and if it does not work, you can go back to the dealer and they will fix it.

For waxing, I assume you are referring to Diamond-Kote or Teflon paint protection, I just let the dealer do it caz they can send the car to the shop from the yard right away without having the car to travel around and contaminate the paint even more.

me too..... they send the cars out anyway to get the protection package done. The cost is like almost half that asked for by the dealership.
For alarm, I will keep the factory one. If I want better alarm, I will probably get it done outside as well.

To me Diamond Kote is a waste of money and you can just wax the car yourself.  Or if you are hardcore detailer use Zaino.

From my experience the German luxury car dealerships (e.g. Mercedes, BMW, etc) do not even offer Diamond Kote.   Go figure.

As for alarm, I guess it's cheaper to get it done aftermarket.  However, I think most europeans car requires the use of OEM alarm but you can get OEM parts anywhere.   I say stay away from stealership, period.

as far as i know german luxury car dealership has better paint quality plus better PDI procedure; my friend got his new C300 done (i didn't ask if dealer offers him or not), and it's very noticeable diff compares to dealer's "PDI" quality wor...

i know for the fact dealer charges u at least 2x, or 3x the price and offer u lifetime warranty ~ when u go back to "claim warranty", they will ask u to do a complete detailing instead...

For the price of detailing the car by professionals, I get a set of tools and material myself and go DIY.

About DIY... if you have that amount of time to kill, it's a good idea to DIY. For a complete detail job, min... 6 hours (at least for myself w/ strip, wash, clay, polish/wet-sand, cleaner, wax (2 layers) and carnauba finish/seal)

而家D車唔洗wax啦﹐好耐無聽過。我唔知啦我做左diamond唔知咩﹐我真係覺得普通洗完車已經好sharp。當然﹐我只係兩年車﹐再過多一年半載都會換車﹐所以未舊到要成日打臘掛??

alarm如果原裝無﹐出去整好平姐。不過咩車都有alarm﹐都好難買到架無alarm。
