I would doubt if it's at a local high point of the section, but from the photo, obviously it's not...   Instead of road surface drainage, subgrade drainage is very important. BTW, on a newly built highway (the highest standard roadway), it's totally unacceptable...

Moron,

I'm saying a newly designed and constructed highway need to be able to stand up to the rigours of the natural environment it finds itself in. Safety margins that can withstand multiple times of the stress the construction will see need to be included in the engineering designs, and the plans executed throughout the construction process. When the construction costs as much as 21億人民幣, everyone expects those standards to be followed. When they weren't, it's human error, not acts of nature.

Furthermore, I won't accept 20億 of those construction funds going into the private coffers of corrupt officials and businessmen, with the remaining 1億 spent on the road. But everybody knows only a fraction of the funds actually went into the construction. Who knows how much got gobbled up by those corrupted a$$holes in the process...

But hey, you are entirely free to keep insisting that the collapse was an act of nature!

I doubt it is a high speed road. Just look at the picture, it is so narrow and winding.

I just don't accept your negative spin on every piece of Chinese news.
You have extreme bias against the Chinese to the point your judgement has no credibility at all.
You have overused your anti-Chinese rhetoric.

You can call it whatever you want. But you have to go slow along that narrow and winding road.

It is just not a high grade eight lane highway.

But it was you who call it a highway. I just said it is not for high speed driving. I didn't say it has anything to do with rain washing the road.

highway [ˈhaɪˌweɪ]
n
1. a public road that all may use
2. Now chiefly US and Canadian except in legal contexts a main road, esp one that connects towns or cities
3. a main route for any form of transport
4. a direct path or course

What to do with speed to the definition of highway?

My skepticism comes from repeated examples of over 20 years in how rampant corruption is in China, and how shxtty, unreasonable to the point of being entirely illogical how things operate in the Mainland. With every piece of criticism I made, I can reference similar examples of how things have happened before. But what basis do you have for your blind support in propping up everything Grandfather says? Half the shxt you spew are results of your brainwashing by Grandfather.

Shut the fxxk up la, moron~
