i actually drive a lot, but that's not my daily driver

i can be going from bby to richmond 3 to 4 times in a day for work, just that i will be driving all diff cars for work purpose too...i think my highest record was 250 to 300km in a day within lower mainland (surrey / coq / north van / ubc / richmond etc)...

just like yesterday i went down to RMD 3 times, i think that's easily over 120km for the day...yet that was on 3 diff cars

Thanks for all the advice la. Usually it takes about 1.5 to 2 years for my car to go back to service. And each service won't be just "oil change" la...most likely changing brake, or timing belt or o ...

1.5 to 2 years to go back for service seems quite long for an interval, i am guessing u probably have one of the european cars like bmw? maybe letting us know what year / make / model u have, and most of us will have an idea if that car is worth to keep

It's C280 sport from 1999.

argh, problem with those car is resale value ain't that high...

say ur car is around 100k, u are probably going to get $15k to $17k for trade in; if everything is running smooth (like no oil leaks or coolant leaks or whatsoever, then it's worth to keep

last time i checked my friend's 99 ML320, 115k, that car needs over $2k just to keep it going (front and rear pad, front and rear rotors, serpentine belt, serpentine belt tensioner etc)....not including to fix oil leak and other misc things that are not working (haven't checked into what's wrong yet)...

also apparently that used car for her friend had accident, but fixed cheap (but her friend told her no claim, which is kinda shady compares to no accident)...

turned out the car is going to the dealer this weekend...
