Whatever it is, the essence is the same. One group of people moves to another place in pursuit of better lives. Then they abuse and use up all the resources before moving to somewhere else.

All other differences are just due to different rules, systems and definitions. The core is the same.

Lots of local born Canadians are working in the US now. There is nothing special about this.

Yeah, there are people that goes back up North/back from Asia for better quality of living and for free medi too. But for talents that seeks career opportunities, many (not all) looks down south.

Whether it be immigration's math doesn't add up, poor policy planning, negligence, lack of enforcement, whatever it is. Rich immigrants leaching off local benefits by faking statuses and underpaying taxes definately puts extra and unfair burden on legitimate taxpayers. That is without a doubt.

Hong kong people can look down on mainlanders but at the same time they are being looked down by another race or people from another country.  They can accuse the mainlanders as being selfish and greedy but they are equally selfish and greedy.

Problem is the HK gov't is not protecting their fellow citizen. The reasoning behind this might be understandable, but is definately not agreeable.
