Japan is in deep trouble, as $900B of its $1.2T is in $US. Japan probably bought more European debt, which is worse than US debt.
China buys a basket of foreign currency.
As a % of total foreign reserves, China's $US is decreasing. That is why the RMB is appreciating more rapidly against the $US.
