Again, if you yourself is a great german mechanic ....  otherwise .. easy to cost you arm and legs ..

You will see tons of those 15-20 yr old German car from those grey import "JDM" garage, they paid next to nothing to buy them from Japan, and ship them over in a bucket ....

Which is still not bad to drive a 7 series or an S Class for cheap money, even they may only last for few months ..  ( anything goes wrong, just dump the car )  

$6,000-7,000 can only cover ~ 3 monthly payment on a new 7/S ...

So, it is a dirt cheap way to get luxury life!  Any of those car cost more then a house back then !

I'll get the Lexus but it seems to be over priced.  Don't touch the Audi for sure!

How much you need to spend on GAS for these OLD V8 sedans? I am paying $200 a month for a 2009 V6 ... For a 10+ year old V8 ... I guess you can spend $300 a month easy ?

That's true. 99' V6 full tank can only last me 200km before...
Now full tank last me 400-500 (sometimes 550km...)
What a big difference!

Have you read the consumer report? BMW & Benz have some of the worst record for realiability.  So unless the 2nd hand is only a few yrs old, I wouldn't even wanna touch them.  Cost an arm and a leg to fix.

No way la...even with 10 years of tech advancement, doubling the fuel economy is not very feasible for the same kind of vehicle, e.g. 99 camry vs 2010 camry.  If you compare a 99 V6 Chrysler to a 10 Camry hybrid then yes easily double.

full tank  for only 200km????  that is not normal.....  unless u smoke your tire every stop light... most car, even 10 yr ago .. should be good for 400-500km with full tank.

Ok to be fair 250km or 300km at most in summer time for a full tank.
and I don't always step big on gas and most (at least half of the time) are highway drive...

WHAT ?? you guys are driving 599??   most cars, have 50L plus gas tank, and if on a camry, should be 60L plus .. and 10L/100km is normal ... even with heavy foot, 15L/100km ... still ok to go 400km min ...

In summer, should use less gas as well ..

Unless you only drive few blocks everyday, in high traffic ..

I guess you better take the car to service, it is not acceptable using 50-70% more gas then normal, that is easy $2000 premium per year.
