Laser printer or inkjet?

I want to buy a new printer for home use, but don't know if I want to get a laser one or inkjet.  What do you recommend? Personally I like laser more, but want to know which one is better and what brand is good.

Thanks so much!

Lexmark just launched the new Pinnacle Pro 901 inkjet AIO, the biggest selling point is the black XL cartridge is only $7, which has 600 page yield; colors cost $23 each and each will yield 550 page.

Unit has copy/print/scan/fax/ADF/Wifi/LAN, touch screen control..... what else you need?

The printer is on sale for $199, and comes with 5 years warranty. It's better than the Officejet now.

Laser= purchase fare ; running cost low
Inkjet= purchase low ; running cost high

For me, I use it occasionally, so I choose Laser.
Before I owned an inkjet, I'd used it once, after all the print head jammed.

I bought a S~ colour laser wireless printer under$200, petty good.
However for photo printing, not good enough.

Isn't colour laser printer very expensive?

I like the quality of my ink jet printing photo....but bad thing is that it's not water proof...

Wow if that's the case then this product sounds great....or else I personally prefer laser as lots others do too.  Not just because of the printer head jams but also if you don't use it occasionally the ink will be dried up (not sure about the really new printers but this is what happens to my old old ancient one).  And then the ink is so freaken expansive.

Never used lexmark but I do see that brand in lots places so philip's product sounds interesting even though it's inkjet or else I'd still prefer laser.  ^_^  It took ages for a laser to change the cartridge *a black and white one never used any color one*

How about let us know how the product is  after you made a decision and bought one ^_^

who needs color... just get a good old B&W laser.

No one will hire ppl with resume printed in inkjet.

After all comments, I think I will still go for laser...
