I just checked the new bandwidth monitor from Shaw. It shows that I am over my 60GB last month.... let me see if I could trick it... hehee

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings isn't happy, and he doesn't think many Canadians realize how tightly screwed on these caps are. He says that “it’s something we’re definitely worried about; my sense is . . . many of them [consumers] don’t understand their plan and it will take a billing cycle or two for them (to figure it out)."

I can confirm that the new Shaw usage monitor can accurately meter my usage. The number correspond with the WAN bandwidth monitor on my router.

The monitor should be accessible from secure.shaw.ca, and now it shows monthly usage, with a 24 hours delay.

Literally there is NOTHING you can do as CRTC is being a prick this time and allows all the ISP to start UBB (usage-based-billing) in March.

Unless something is done to overturn that decision, you have to pay the bill.

lol...dere is 5 ppl leaving at my house...
We each have a desktop... n one or 2 laptop...
plus itouch ah... many things can go online =.=
n personal I everyday watch the 3 TVB drama ... lol thats like 2G at least each day for myself...
thats like 40G already lol...
5 person in the house... thats like 200G alrdy... for doing nothing... just everyday 2hrs of drama...
plus there is PPS
N I turn on Youtube as background music... =.=

唔通No more HDTV n I have 2 watch back those 格仔TVB ???
