Shame on the VPD front line idiots. Are they trying to turn the VPD into Chinese Gung On now? (But at least Chief Chu apologized afterwards -- you'd never see the Chinese top brass issuing apologies like that.)

In the future, Canuck Boy, would you please quote your sources as well, preferably by including links to the email articles?

That's a cheap bashing on the Chinese police who are maintaining law and order for the Chinese people.

I think Chinese is not too bad, at least on incidents that does not threaten the status quo. If its' just individual Gung On doing bad and it gets exposed, the status quo will quickly dispose of him/her just so it won't affect the image of the status quo.

Here theycollude from the top brass all the way to small potatoe cops, 0 accountability and full on corruption among every level... sigh...

On the flip side, I've seen complaint boxes right behind the departure customs booth after you get pass them, with signs to encourage to give them 'feed back' in the Shanghai airport. It reads, in Chinese and English that if you think you get mistreatment or service attitude problems from customs officers, you can slot in annonymous complaints/feedbacks.

What do we get here? If an officer gives you attitude and you complaint, you probably get yourself detained for hours with the CBSA managements ganging up on you and spitting in your face..... Shame....
