【明報專訊】「只因身無錢，中刀腹血濺！」溫市中心發生滅絕人性的搶劫案，一名身無分文的25歲青年，途經建築物後巷遇劫，青年無法交出金錢，慘遭體重約200磅的劫匪拔刀狂插腹部，再遭搜身，劫匪搜不到財物才逃去，警方懷疑是露宿者所為，現正深入調查。

溫市警方發言人麥吉尼斯(Jana McGuinness)昨日稱，事發於前晚10時許，一名25歲青年在荷馬街(Homer St.)夾洛遜街(Robson St.)附近，距離市中心圖書館不遠的地方正沿建築物後巷步行，一名健碩劫匪突然行近索取金錢，事主坦言﹕「我沒有錢。」

麥吉尼斯稱，劫匪聽後，在沒有任何先兆下，突然拔出利刀刺向事主，事主腹部中刀受傷倒地，劫匪立即搜掠事主衣袋，發覺事主真的身無分文，即時拔足逃去。事主負傷致電報警求助。

警方接報到場調查，四出兜截但未拘捕任何人。幸受傷事主傷勢並不嚴重，沒有生命危險，但因無錢而遭匪徒剌傷，十分無辜。

劫匪為白人，年約35歲，體重約200磅，犯案時戴深色帽，穿連帽衣服，警方正全力追緝。

can't blame the police completely....they can't be everywhere...

the problem is that people are more voilent than before due to media violent/etc, and their moral has gone down the drain....

exactly
if u are the police, u know that u risk your life to catch some bad ass, but then the judge will release those bad ass in few days, you have two choices:
1) continue to risk your life to catch the bad ass
2) go tim horton and have some donuts and coffee

kinda off topic, but anyone has heard any follow up of the 20's gangster who attacked a random stranger w/ axe, guilty but sentences to 120 hr community service, and laughed in the elevator as he walks out the court in front of many news reporters???

actually, this is not that off-topic
people just blame the cops about the crimes, but I dont think its fair
(well, I have to admit that some cops are really... )
