I wish one day, we can say 二億八千萬港元 is not too expensive ...
did u read? starting price is around 30m HKD.... most luxury home cost more then that in hk already. the penthouse at The Arch sold for 225m HKD! and the arch doesn't spin or have elevator that takes your car up to your floor.
"自給自足" ? I doubt it. The cost of producing electricity of this building is quite high. The skyscraper will produce annually 190 million KWH of energy at the price of 7 million euro. Even though you can sell the surplus electricity, I doubt anyone will buy it in such an oil rich country.
Dubai uses 10% of its oil production to generate electricity and drinking water. Once the oil is gone, the city will die. Go figure how much the buildings will worth when that day comes. The government knows this and is doing eveything it can to attract money/people to the city.
