挪威專家預言北極冰蓋今夏全融 (國際) 挪威

挪威國際極地年秘書處執行秘書奧爾海姆表示，由於全球變暖，今年夏天北極極點的冰蓋可能全部融化。

奧爾海姆從事極地氣候研究已有近40年歷史，曾擔任挪威極點研究所所長。他表示，目前全球變暖導致的北極冰蓋融化速度令人震驚。

奧爾海姆稱，多種監測結果顯示，去年夏天氣溫最高的幾週，北冰洋冰蓋覆蓋面積降至300萬平方公里，為歷史最低點。這數字在2000年前平均為750萬平方公里。這表明從2000年起，全球氣候變暖的速度加劇，形勢日趨嚴峻。

他表示：「如果今年挪威年平均氣溫與去年持平的話，到夏天氣溫最高的那幾天北極極點的冰蓋將全部融化。從目前氣候變化看，這種情況很可能出現。

奧爾海姆說，去年夏天，由於冰蓋大面積縮小，甚至出現了一條從白令海峽到奧斯陸的新航線，較原有線路縮短三分之一以上的里程。美國、英國等一些發達國家的公司正在規劃新航線，以節約航運成本。

奧爾海姆指，這種情況使人深感憂慮說，因為一旦航線開通，必然會有公司承攬油運任務，那些深入北冰洋腹地的大型油輪萬一齣現原油泄漏，將給北極生態安全造成災難。

奧爾海姆稱，按照目前全球變暖的勢頭，不出21世紀，海平面就將上升1米。

冬天會越來越凍...原因係D POLAR ICECAP俾溫室效應溶左...D冰既溫度係會比普通海水凍...當D CURRENT帶左落南邊就會變成比平常凍既風同海流...同時間當ICE CAP溶左之後夏天就會越來越熱,因為唔夠冷氣降溫(唔夠ICE CAP)...所以長遠黎講...咁凍既冬天係短暫性既...ICE CAP越來越少時赤道會越來越大...北方就會慢慢變熱

If everybody contribute a bit, and have the most basic environmental friendly sense; we can save our homeland.

The very basic, refuse to use plastic bag as much as possible.
Shut your car whenever you stop there more than one minute.
Try not to use A/C in your car as much as possible.
Turn off all light in your house except the area you are staying at, for instance, only turn on the light in dinning room when you are having dinner. Turn off TV/Electronic device when you are not using it. Recycle all cans, that mean, stop throwing them in garbage can, bring them home and recycle theme. Classified all your garbage at home as much as possible, don't be lazy and throw all papers in garbage can.



I see alot of people won't shut their car when they are lining up for car wash ............just simple things like that can do a dramatic change for environment.

i agree with chobit,
2050 is like 42 years from now...we might be able to see the end of snow capped mountains and glaciers in our lifetime...

I am sure I hear a lot more about global warming than "ice age"  As far as I understand, the effect with global warming would happen much sooner.  Somewhere around 2050, a lot of the city around the coast would be wiped.
