【明報專訊】中美軍艦風波擴大，再有一艘美國軍艦遭中國拒絕在新年期間進入香港，是中國近期第3次拒絕美國軍艦靠泊香港。另外，中國亦不准美軍C17運輸機下季降落香港，為美國駐港總領事館提供補給。

美國太平洋司令部發言人在夏威夷公開披露，「小鷹號」被拒進入香港後，回航時駛過極為敏感的台灣海峽，始回到日本橫須賀基地。這是繼1996年台海危機以來，美方首次公開表明軍艦駛過台灣海峽。日本共同社說，美國此舉「明顯是在向拒絕其赴港的中國政府示威」。

美國國防部官員周五透露，美軍上月向中方申請，讓駐守珍珠港，載有200名官兵的護衛艦魯本詹姆斯號在新年期間在香港停泊。在上周四，中國改變主意，批准小鷹號靠岸時，但同時又以口頭及書面知會美軍，拒絕魯本詹姆斯號訪港，並無解釋原因。有海軍陸戰隊少將指，中國當天亦知會美方，不准美軍C17運輸機下季降落香港，為美國駐港總領事館提供補給。

這是近期第3宗中國拒絕美軍艦靠泊香港事件，除了小鷹號航空母艦戰鬥群及魯本詹姆斯號外，中國也拒絕讓美國海軍兩艘掃雷艦進入香港，以躲避颱風並補充燃料；美國海軍認為中方拒絕這兩艘船靠港不當，因為這違反提供陷困境船隻安全避風港的國際海洋法規。這兩艘掃雷艦後來在海上加油，並安全返回日本母港。

The US has done so much to insult China's sovereignty in recent years. This was such a good chance for China to stand up against the big bully over issues related to Taiwan, Tibet and the Diaoyutai Islands. The US navy is so strong and hitech that they can avoid any storms and you need not worry about them. Especially their aircraft carrier with such a large number of supply ships. When you play power politics with the US, all you need to think about is national security and national interests. You still have a lot to learn from these western colonial powers when it comes to political posturing.

Is the war in Iraq a humanitarian cause?  There are many UN laws Bush had broken waging the war towards Iraq and Afghan Seriously, you believe the press bull**** with the play of words? Read between the lines.

Traum, I understand where you are coming from being Anti-Communist and all, but dealing with external issues, we must protect the Chiense race as a whole. Survival of the Fittest.

How about stop selling/shipping/buying  anything to US now? That will show them more color again, our Middle Kingdow will rise again even with doors all closed.
