Sorry, this is a late reply. We went today and we were totally disappointed.

Too few booths, only about 30 booths. Maybe 1/10 of them were like what you saw in night market, such as cometics items, cell phone items. Otherwise, others were things for "kwai lo".  Then there were some rides for kids. There was absolutely no chinese year new feel at all.

I went there today too. Not much expectation and so no disappointment. Bought a titanium fry pan, some beef jerky and some silver coins ( from the Royal Mint)
I agree that there was not very little, if any, Chinese New Year feel.

I feel sorry for people who bought the fast pass to watch the Justin's show.
The pass is like $25 and Justin only did 4 or 5 songs. It is not a really fast pass as I can be seated much early than some of the fast pass holder...

As for the expo, the food are not cheap and really nothing to see. I was expected some Chinese New Year "feel" so I brought my kid along, but no...I don't feel anything at all.

The only surprise is I saw a really big turtle.

And heard from my friends who is one of the vendor there, they are going to sign and make a complaint to the organizer as they promised to have at least 160000 guests to the expo, but end up it is kind of quiet.

event was bad for the 4 days.. hardly anyone there... sat and sun were ok...  tickets were too expensive and it doesn't really look like new yrs, hardly any new yrs stuff or flowers inside to sell... just another night market...  i talked to the vendors too and they were piss..

At least the show went ahead. The strike also killed the show.
