Ms. Kaka here also puts watermark on all her shots.

The truth is
those who really make money on photography don't put watermarks on their shots. You never see a watermarked shot by Elliott Erwitt.
Those photos that have watermarks on are hardly worth a penny.

I had a chance to spend about 1/2 hr to try out something new.  A common technique use by Leica users.  It's the Zone Focusing technique.  Rather this is street photography or not, it's all done with my 5dm3 & 35mm f/2 pre-focus the zone, and I was able to take some photos without looking throught the viewfinder, and not being noticed a photos was taken.

It's fun....!!

Congrats on trying something new. However, shooting at the waist doesn't necessarily make you more discreet. There is a recent post elsewhere about a guy being confronted after taking a waist level shot.

On the other hand, all of your shots above could have been taken normally at eye level without the subjects noticing you, since none of them was really facing you when the shot was taken.

1> try not to have my camera in front of my face.
2> try to take the picture without the them noticing me.

See that picture where that woman was working on that machine.  She had number of friends around her.  So, not I need to take the picture before the notice me, but also the people outside the frame.

I am so new to this, as all my professional or non-professional works are all with permission to take pictures.  Events, weddings, portraits, animals landscaple.  All you can take..!

If you have time, pick a couple of your good street photography shots, so that I can get some ideas from you.

Chobit, I like the second one.

If you have a 35, the guy would be thinking you are taking photo of the wall.  No need to worry at all.  Worst could happen is he thinks he is blocking your shot and moves out of the frame.

Oh no. 3 is also good.  Even better if you are a bit to the camera left, so I can see the connection between the cute girl and the kids.

First of all I don't think these photos need to be candid. The subjects are just doing some normal stuff and they don't have any reason to shy away from the camera. Not to mention that this is Pike's place, where photography is well expected.

You can't really observe street photography techniques from the photos themselves. You really have to see how someone works in the field. That's why those live videos are pretty good for this purpose.

When I first started I was doing all candids but I realized there's really no point for that. I would much prefer interactions with my subjects and that doesn't make my photos any less spontaneous. Most classic street photographs weren't candid snapshots like some people think.
