Renting car in the US

When you rent a car in the US, is it necessary to buy insurance for the car? Anyone with experience of doing that?

yup, u will need insurance pretty much anywhere u rent a car; just that if u hold a valid BC DL u can choose to purchase from autoplan, or if u are a roadstar u can even use ur own insurance on the rental

Not necessary if your credit card have rental car insurance such thing.

Normally American Express or Platinum master / visa card have such protection. If your credit card doesn't cover you like this, I suggest you buy the insurance, although most of the time there's no accident. Better than you get a huge surprise later on.
