Hi, thanks all the advise for the accident. Too bad the forum is renewed at the wrong time for me.

I ve reported to ICBC, the adjuster told me that they couldnt evaluate the speed of the other car, so I have to hire an engineer by myself. I m just wondering how ? and where to find that engineer. She also told me that it needed to check the damage of both cars, not one. That means it's more difficulty for me to check the speed because the other car may already be taken to fix.

Talk to your own lawyer, or look into yellow page under engineering firm.
Even from pics they can have some educated ideas, everything is based on physics calculation. If it were going 5 k/h then why your car was a write off?
All u need is to proof the other party was speeding and driving without due car in a 50 km zone.

Not long ago with a samml fender bender, I sold the car without fixing, few wks later they told me the other party admit fault. So my car can be fix. When I talked to the adjuster again she said I could get cash settlement ( approx 75 %) Anyways the material manager refuse to pay me. As I have no insurable interest since I no longer own the car. I told him I have the right to sue the other party with in 2 yrs. Only few mths passed.
In the end I had to talk to branch manager. After a couple of weeks she decided to cut me a cheque, but $80 less, anyways, we dont need to be backed down by these idiots.
