Well, it looks nice to give out "gum mo fong's" cake card cuz it is famous bakery shop.
my best friends all prefer to receive gum mo fong's cake cards. i don't really know how much each slice is as long as most of my friends do go there for birthday cakes or breads. they just top up there.
gum mo fong gives nice cake cards and envelopes. If you buy lots, they give you discount like $ 8 each. i bought my wedding cake there too. The good thing is they do free delivery for wedding cake. Other places like anna charges you for cake delivery.
um...i never thought about how many slices can 1 pastry card buy wor....I bought $12 /card from Saint Germain. Depends on where you guests are living also, cuz i rather get pastry cards from a cake shop which has several locations (at least 3 ).
yep... i think they did great jobs in decorating my wedding cake. The boss woman there would give you quite many selection of wedding cakes. she will ask you if you want to bring in flowers to decorate on top as i remember she will tell you to get them for 20 bucks or sth for flowers to decorate on top. i also bought a pair of precious moment cake top too... here is the pic.
oh.... by the way, for wine, i use yellowtail in case you are thinking of buying red wines for ur guests. they are really cheap and also taste good for their prices.
just another suggestion.
I think simplicity in design is popular,
I used to do wedding cakes that would take weeks to complete(most of the time waiting for the icing to dry), this modern style I think I can finish in under 2 hours.
