Furnace seems to be working BUT it is not generating heat. All it generates is COOL air, not even warm! Set the temperature at 25 degrees but the other needle on the thermostat still stays at its minimum (10). Do anyone knows what is wrong with the furnace?
I haven't look into your model yet, but juding by your model description: should be one of those single-stage (non-condensing) pilot-light type furnace?
Questions:
(1)you see pilot light coming on/staying on? does it stay on when you call for heat (turning up/on your thermostat)?
(2) when you call/turn on for heat (thermostat), does the pilot light spread and light up the burner rows?
RUUD Achiever quiet 80 use Direct Spark Ignition. not pilot light.
When you set higher temperature, the system will light up the fire. (you should heard a "fom" sound)
Fan will startup.
If it detect there is no Fire lighted, the system should stop. Fan should stop.
for ruud furnace the control board, there are led.
Error Codes
A green LED indicates system faults
Steady On: System OK
Steady OFF: Board control fault or no power applied
1 Flash: Ignition failure (control in one-hour lockout)
2 Flashes: Pressure switch fault, fails open (switch is stuck open)
3 Flashes: Limit switch open (main or auxiliary)
4 Flashes: Pressure switch fault, fails closed (switch is stuck closed)
A yellow LED indicates flame status
Steady on: Normal flame is sensed
Flashes: As flame weakens, frequency of LED flashes increases
