Maximize? It would make zero differences if you know what you doing. Don't let the notion that certain software will save you more taxes fool you.

Studio tax is good but it might not maximize your return.  You can always two tax software to compare the result.

if you just have a t4, t3 & t5, it should cost $100 or less
the mall one is usually start from $20(you have nothing to report).  if you just have a t4, ~$40.  but some companies charge by schedules and some charge by items.  so you better ask them for the price first.
i think the $1k for doing a corp taxing return too.

Post all your questions here and I will try to answer them.

For tax software, you can use studiotax which is free.  Interest on investment is easy to deduct. You just have to put it in the right schedules.

如果你個 target price 只係 $100左右嘅話，但係又要做 mutual fund 嘅 investment interest，我諗應該做唔到囉。最少，我諗有啲經驗，又有 CGA 牌嘅報稅人唔會收得咁平囉。
