【明報專訊】由昨日起，卑詩各間大統華超市開始對原本免費提供的膠袋收費，每個2仙。超市發言人稱，希望藉此改變及鼓勵顧客在購物時自備環保袋，為環境盡一分心力。大部分顧客都對此表示贊同，認為這是必然趨勢；亦有人坦言尚未養成此習慣，會略有不便。

記者昨日在超市門口觀察，使用膠袋的顧客仍佔絕大多數，僅有少數顧客自備環保袋。超市亦在結帳櫃台上準備了大量環保購物袋出售，供有心支持環保的顧客「從現在開始做起」。還有不少不願為膠袋付費的顧客們全家出動，「徒手」運送所有物品。

大統華發言人薛姍姍表示，膠袋會破壞生態環境已成共識，而且一早已有報告指出，超市對膠袋收費能有效地大量減少膠袋的使用量，大統華亦曾於今年初以低於成本價促銷環保袋，發現顧客在這方面的需求很大，因此現在推出自備購物袋運動是順應支持環保的社會發展模式。

來自中國杭州的喬先生夫婦是昨日為數不多、自帶購物袋的顧客，他們透露，其實國內在2年前已經立法禁止超市免費提供膠袋，因此已經養成了帶袋購物的習慣，既方便又環保。

許多仍然使用膠袋的顧客昨日表示，講環保是好事情，因此「原則上非常贊同」，但還沒有養成這樣的習慣。還有市民認為，超市不提供免費膠袋亦是必然趨勢，比如本地最大超市之一Superstore早已如此。
