台灣講屌 [編輯]

屌字嘅普通話發音係 diao3 [2]。喺台灣，屌字又同台灣閩南話嘅「對」字同音，於是有啲人就將「屌」字用嚟做「對」字嘅對應[未記出處或冇根據]。最初喺傳媒上出現咁用法，係喺台灣MTV channel一段宣傳：「MTV音樂台，好屌！」，呢句嘢由有「廣告教父」之稱嘅孫大偉創作出嚟，原本意思係：「音樂是有量的」，形容音樂可以令人有快感。呢個廣告出咗之後，「屌」就成為台灣人流行用語，好多人鍾意用「好屌！」去形容一啲好正，好有感受嘅嘢[3]。

and yes, the sound of 屌 in taiwanese is different f ...

Yes, it's true so I never know this is the same word as in f words in Hong Kong.

The word 屌 does not have a good meaning in Chinese or Mandarin if you look up the dictionary.

However, the young people picked the word up and created a new meaning to it.
It represents the coolness (eg. 好屌), cockiness (e.g 在屌什麼?), and uniqueness (e.g. 太屌了)

In Taiwan, when you said someone is 屌, that means he/she is cxcky and self center way.  It does not mean f words.

I thought this word has a "universal" meaning??? It means "fxxx" in cantonese ... It means something else in Taiwan???
