婚宴不食翅 遊埠或免費 一對新人更可與鯊魚暢泳
組織鼓勵華人保護瀕臨絕種魚類 2010年3月26日
【明報專訊】名為「鯊魚真相」(Shark Truth)的保護鯊魚組織，以即將步入禮堂的華裔新人為目標，勸告他們在婚宴中放棄吃魚翅，支持該行動的新人有機會贏取免費到墨西哥旅遊及與鯊魚暢泳。

「鯊魚真相」組織發起人Claudia Li指出，一碗魚翅最貴可能要100加元，在利益當前下，要求超過500家中餐廳不提供魚翅，或是要客人拒絕吃魚翅，可能難有效果，因此該組織呼籲即將結婚的華裔新人們，能夠拿出愛心保護瀕臨絕種的鯊魚，最簡單及直接的做法，是在選擇婚宴的菜單時不再加入魚翅，讓一對新人帶頭改變長輩們吃魚翅的習慣。

Claudia Li說，有其他組織宣傳不吃魚翅，但其方法好像說教，以及缺乏對中餐美食文化的了解，很難引起共鳴，這次以新人為宣傳目標，希望能夠奏效。

凡在今年5月10日至12月31日結婚及舉行婚宴，年齡在19歲以上的大溫地區新人，只要提交婚宴上不用魚翅的證明及相關資料，便有機會被投票選中，獲得旅遊墨西哥及與鯊魚暢泳的機會。

若是大溫以外的參加者，會被列入國際組別，有機會贏得水底數碼相機及領養一條鯊魚。

該行動得到食評家以希(Stephanie Yuen)的支持，她認為華人是時候改變吃魚翅的文化。

I never said food is the most important part in western banquets, but still you cannot treat your guests to Mcdonalds.
And food is not the most important part in Chinese banquets either. But food is what brings people together in all cultures for all kinds of festivities.
You need to realize that western culture does not represent the world's culture and is not it necessarily the best.
You really need to learn some Chinese culture first.

    Well I'm cooking it for my  dying  in-law at hospice  everyday.
   Cooking is very easy but cleaning is time consuming.
