有一次去美國玩,真係要趁食飯時間散哂d 美金散紙...
好似比o左成堆$0.05 同 $0.01 人...加加埋埋有$5

You are right. as long as the tax rate is not a multiple of 5, we need pennies.

The tax rate shouldn't be an issue.  In NZ, they don't use pennies.  The amount is rounded to nearest nickle.  It is a small give-n-take.
