don't you just get frustrated when self-checkout line up took so long to get thru?
been to ikea and superstore yesterday.
in ikea,
using the self check out which i have only two items.
the 4 groups in front of me when i enter, each of them have no more than 6 items.
and three of the four self-checkout opened
but each of them took more than 5 minutes and one took like 10.
like they don't read the instructions and prepare for it.
the lady flipped a picture frame for many times to find the barcode. the frame has only two flat side.. how hard is that to find it~!!!
and a man kept swiping the card when ask to insert the card.
and the other insert the card when asked to swipe.
and the couple...who took 10min. they actually discuss in front of the screen whether buying it or not..
at the end took me less than a minute to go thru them. waiting for the recipe took most of the time.
in Superstore, people pressed the items against the scanner took so long to get them.
what i do is i find the barcode and face it a inch to the scanner.. it will get thru easily..
but the superstore self-checkout computer is slow which they do not allow you to multi-task ( like one hand scan one hand out into bag)
its ok...it will still be faster than regular till at superstore..but yes...the ones at superstore a ...

no it depends... taking Superstore Metrotown as an example, sometimes it's faster to use the "speedy checkout" then self-checked-out as there are too many idiots are using the machine and they couldn't figure out how to use it... some idiots use self check out even though they have a whole cart of goods... I suggest those idiots to use human lor, as they are soooooooooooo slow
