The pig's blood cakes pass the stringent CFIA standard and legal to sell in Canada
so I think it is safer here than in HK or Taiwan.
The Scotch, Italian, Portuguese use a lot of pig's blood in charcutiere and sausages.
not to mention Vietnamese and Philipinos.
I heard this news when I was in Taipei and it's big deal there!
I just saw ppl getting frozen 豬血糕 from a Taiwanese gorcery store on No. 3 (near superstore next to a furniture store) I guess you can make your own bbq 豬血糕 at home with the frozen ones.
pig's blood, how about human blood?
i don't like the pig's blood because it kinda gross

well you should try it and don't think it's pig's blood just think it's a name....
well then when you eat egg do you think it's a chicken that's not fully grown up yet and still an egg and think it's gross? when you eat intestines do you think of a pig or something like that and think it's gross? and blah blah blah you should get what I mean.....
anyways not trying to argue or changing the way you think but just that it's a good food to give it a try that's all I meant sorry if you think my words are too harsh, I apologize first.....
I just came back from taiwan awhile ago and I miss 豬血糕 and all other snacks already
but don't try the eh...I think it's called bbq 豬血糕 or something like that. It's cut into huge dice pieces I tried few of them here before and they are hard like a rock!!!!
I hope they have those shown on the picture above here so at least we can try or just I don't go out a lot to find a decent one....
