The extent of damage has yet to be determined and it's unclear if anyone was injured.

Several hurt after fire in Burnaby

Crews have wrapped up their efforts after an early morning fire at a high-rise apartment building on Kingsway just west of Edmonds Street in Burnaby.  Evacuees have been let back in after being forced out around 3 a.m.

As if being woken up by smoke and fire isn't bad enough, the cold and rain evacuees were forced to deal with only added insult to injury.

Three people were hurt in the blaze, another person was also seriously injured, but it was unrelated to the fire.

No word on what caused the fire.  Roughly a dozen ambulances were on scene at one point this morning, but emergency crews have now moved on the investigation phase.

That looks like an iphone 4 video.  Not good.
