People speaking on at the third public meeting on the issue got pretty vocal with council.

2 Comment(s)  0 Recommendation(s) VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - There was no shortage of speakers on Thursday night at a heated public meeting on the Hastings Park Master Plan. Council won't be making a decision on the 20-year over $200 million plan until Tuesday.

People speaking on at the third public meeting on the issue got pretty vocal with council. " The level of activity right now, who's going to stand to gain if all of this commercial activity increases? My family doesn't gain."

Many neighbours say the issues are a loss of greenspace with the expansion of Playland's footprint, commercialization, and a lack of community access. Most are asking council to delay their decision.

Council will debate the issue and make a decision on Tuesday afternoon.
